On 12 February 2026, researchers Karīna Ješkina and Anne Sauka took part in a public discussion organised within the framework of the exhibition “Geoprocesses”, held at the Ogres History and Art Museum. The discussion focused on nature-based solutions and their role in shaping relationships between humans and the environment.

The event brought together researchers and practitioners to reflect on human–nature interactions, as well as the role of knowledge, perception, and responsibility in shaping these relationships.

During the discussion, the researchers contributed perspectives from the project, highlighting interdisciplinary approaches and emphasising the interconnections between cultural, social, and ecological dimensions, with particular attention to the role of nature-based solutions in fostering sustainable relations. The conversation also engaged the audience in considering how everyday practices and decisions are connected to broader environmental processes.

The discussion was complemented by an interactive workshop, encouraging participants to reflect on their own experiences and connections with natural systems, and to explore different ways of understanding and engaging with environmental change.

Participation in this event contributes to ongoing dialogue between research and society, fostering more inclusive and reflective approaches to environmental challenges.
